The Cottage, which was once the general store and post office for Mertzown, and later part of the underground railroad, contains two separate accommodations. The Lower Cottage Suite is located on the first floor and has a fireplace in the bedroom, a living room with TV, kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, sink, and coffee maker, and a private bath with a walk-in shower. You can add the Upper Cottage Suite, which is located on the second floor and can only be accessed by a staircase through the Lower Cottage Suite. It has another bedroom beneath a skylight, and a private bath with a step-in tub and shower. A separate entrance on the side of the cottage leads to the Hideaway Suite, which has a fireplace in the bedroom and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. Both the Lower Cottage and Hideaway Suites have entrances with 4 – 5 steps. All bedrooms in the Cottage have queen-sized beds, and all areas have air conditioners.
